Gas Spec Issues(TEG)
From FNNC
If the water content of the gas leaving the TEG dehydration process exceeds sales specifications, the following areas should be investigated:
- insufficient TEG regeneration:
- -insufficient stripping steam/reboiler heat input?
- -incorrect TEG recovery from TEG drain tank—too much water-laden TEG pumped to TEG reboiler?
- -incorrect TEG stripping column pressure?
- -contaminated or degraded TEG?
- -plugged TEG stripping column packing?
- -too low a TEG flow through TEG stripping column?
- -insufficient stripping (fuel) gas admitted to the small supplementary stripper?
- insufficient TEG circulation rate:
- -TEG pump speed too low?
- -TEG pump bypass lines open or passing pump bypass valves?
- -low level in TEG accumulator?
- different operating conditions:
- -lean TEG entering contactor too hot?
- -too high a gas flow through contactor?
- -higher water content in the incoming gas?
- -low TEG contactor pressure?
